LA PENDOLINA
The Pendolina Waterfall is located on the right side of the Turrite Cava Valley. It collects the waters of the Pendolina stream and has a waterfall drop of 80 metres.
Clearly a route not suitable for the faint-hearted.
But to be done at least once in a lifetime, just to experience that feeling of ecstasy that only an environment like this can give you.
At the foot of the waterfall, the water has carved a deep well in the rock.
The water flow rate of the waterfall varies depending on the season, and only in particularly dry periods is it almost dry.
It is also possible to see the waterfall from the base in fact, reaching this place is very easy and is within everyone’s reach, it only takes 10-15 minutes to walk about 750 metres. Many people know it by the name ‘the Pendolino waterfall’ because the wind continually shifts the waterfall’s fall reminiscent of the movement of a pendulum. Its real name, however, as some local books also testify, is ‘the Pendolina waterfall’ (or ‘Pendorina’ for the inhabitants of Vallico) because it collects the waters of the Pendolina stream (a tributary of the Turrite Cava, itself a right-hand tributary of the Serchio river).
The waterfall can be visited by going up the road that leads to the Val di Turrite, in the municipality of Fabbriche di Vergemoli. At a certain point, in fact, going in the direction of the village of Fabbriche di Vallico, you come across the ancient mill. In front of the ancient mill begins the path that leads to one of the wonders of the Garfagnana: the Pendolino waterfall.

IL RIO SELVANO
The beautiful and much-loved Rio Selvano, also known as Rio Pilli, is an extremely interesting place for canyoning in Tuscany, located in Fabbriche di Vallico, in the province of Lucca. This torrent offers a very fun and varied route, with numerous jumps and natural slides, and can be defined with certainty as the most ‘fun canyon in Tuscany
Its most exciting feature are the slides carved into the rock, which enter deep blue-green pools. Along the descent, there are about 7 abseils with the highest rope about 12 metres high, and there are also two springs of icy clear water along the way. Numerous dives, never obligatory, in fact there is always the possibility of abseiling for those who prefer to avoid the higher dives.
The activity lasts about 3 hours and is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have in Tuscany.

IL TORRENTE ANIA
The Ania torrent is by far the most beautiful canyon in Tuscany and be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise, it means they don’t know what they are talking about.
In itself, the canyon has no playful stretches, except for a beautiful 6-metre slide at the beginning, but for the most part it is rope descents, the highest of which is about 12 metres.
But this counts for little, given the extraordinary environment we find ourselves in front of once we begin this descent.
Spectacular rock walls dominate the canyon, crystal-clear pools of water, extraordinary plays of light, in short, it is like taking a space-time leap into an extremely remote part of the world.
Despite its simplicity, the Ania torrent has nothing to envy from other torrents, its beauty makes this hike truly UNIQUE.
